EDUCATION & AWARENESS
How your donations help increase scam awareness.
At Stamp Out Scams, we firmly believe that knowledge is our most powerful tool in the fight against scams. This belief underpins our robust Education and Awareness Campaign, designed to equip you with the understanding you need to effectively combat and prevent scams in your daily life.
The campaign is multifaceted, involving a variety of strategies to reach different demographics and cater to various learning styles. Through your donations, we hope to hold regular workshops and webinars, where scam prevention experts explain scam mechanics and share the latest prevention strategies.
Our initiatives extend to schools, colleges, and public social groups such as Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, Kiwanis, and other service clubs.  Presentations can be requested through our website.  These presentations will be funded through donations, with no fees to the requestor.  Presentations will be done by one of our experienced cadre of presenters, comprised mainly of retired law enforcement.

Education And Awareness Process

Our Education and Awareness Campaign is not just about avoiding scams—it’s about fostering a proactive and informed community that stands united against scams. Our mission is to create an environment where scammers find it harder to operate, where potential victims are empowered with knowledge, and where those who have fallen victim to scams are not shamed but supported.

Our Education and Awareness Campaign will utilize the following strategies:
  • Scam outreach presentations to public social groups (Kiwanis, Rotary, Elks, etc.)
  • Seminar and conference presentations
  • Senior community center presentations
  • College and university outreach

Our Education and Awareness Campaign is not just about avoiding scams—it’s about fostering a proactive and informed community that stands united against scams. Our mission is to create an environment where scammers find it harder to operate, where potential victims are empowered with knowledge, and where those who have fallen victim to scams are not shamed but supported.

Our Outreach Program: How We Can Help

The video below provides an excellent overview of our Education and Awareness Program here at Stamp Out Scams.
At Stamp Out Scams, we believe in the power of knowledge as the first line of defense against scamming practices. Our Outreach Program has been designed to equip people with the critical information they need to stay safe in today’s increasingly interconnected world.
In the above video, you can get an in-depth look at how we’re spreading our mission of scam prevention. Our Outreach Program is a comprehensive initiative that includes interactive workshops, webinars, and information sessions delivered by our dedicated team of experts. These programs are designed to raise awareness about various types of scams, such as email phishing, lottery fraud, identity theft, and online shopping scams, among others.
But we don’t stop at raising awareness. Stamp Out Scams also provides resources and assistance to those who have fallen victim to scams. Our helpline and resource library are here to provide you with immediate assistance, and our partnerships with law enforcement and financial institutions ensure you get the best possible help to recover.
Together, we can create a safer digital world. Join us on our mission to Stamp Out Scams. Every step you take, every piece of knowledge you gain, and every scam you prevent moves us closer to a world free from the threat of these malicious activities.

At Stamp Out Scams, our mission is to help those impacted by scams to recover and rise above their experiences. Through advocacy, education, and resources, we aim to put an end to the devastating impact of scams on innocent lives. We want to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves and their loved ones against scams.
Beyond creating awareness, we provide a supportive platform for scam victims to share their experiences without judgment, contributing to the fight against scams through their stories. We offer extensive resources and personalized support for scam recovery, recognizing that every individual’s experience with scams is unique.  The last thing a scam victim needs is “victim blaming.”  Most scam victims have likely endured enough “victim blaming” after their very own victimization was exposed.
Stamp Out Scams is here for victims. We believe that together, through shared experiences and collective action, we can build a world that’s free from scams, where every individual feels safe, secure, and empowered.
It is hard to underestimate the damage done by scammers to their victims.  Scam victims suffer both an emotional loss and devastating financial losses.  The time is now to help put an end to scams and scammers.

What A Scam Victim Looks Like

On each of our “Impact of Giving” pages, you will find the below photo gallery. We have named this gallery“What A Scam Victim Looks Like.”
We include these photo galleries to serve as a stark reminder that these victims look like your friend, your family member or just about anyone you might meet in public.   Remember that if a scam can happen to them, it can happen to anyone.  Scam victims don’t all look or sound the same.  They come in all different shapes, sizes, ethnicities, etc.
When it comes to becoming a victim of a scam, it could happen to anyone!  Scammers and scams do not recognize boundaries and are only driven by a potential financial reward.
DON’T BECOME A VICTIM!
