At Stamp Out Scams, we firm­ly believe that knowl­edge is our most pow­er­ful tool in the fight against scams. This belief under­pins our robust Edu­ca­tion and Aware­ness Cam­paign, designed to equip you with the under­stand­ing you need to effec­tive­ly com­bat and pre­vent scams in your dai­ly life.
The cam­paign is mul­ti­fac­eted, involv­ing a vari­ety of strate­gies to reach dif­fer­ent demo­graph­ics and cater to var­i­ous learn­ing styles. Through your dona­tions, we hope to hold reg­u­lar work­shops and webi­na­rs, where scam pre­ven­tion experts explain scam mechan­ics and share the lat­est pre­ven­tion strate­gies.
Our ini­tia­tives extend to schools, col­leges, and pub­lic social groups such as Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, Kiwa­nis, and oth­er ser­vice clubs.  Pre­sen­ta­tions can be request­ed through our web­site.  These pre­sen­ta­tions will be fund­ed through dona­tions, with no fees to the requestor.  Pre­sen­ta­tions will be done by one of our expe­ri­enced cadre of pre­sen­ters, com­prised main­ly of retired law enforce­ment.

Education And Awareness Process

Our Edu­ca­tion and Aware­ness Cam­paign is not just about avoid­ing scams—it’s about fos­ter­ing a proac­tive and informed com­mu­ni­ty that stands unit­ed against scams. Our mis­sion is to cre­ate an envi­ron­ment where scam­mers find it hard­er to oper­ate, where poten­tial vic­tims are empow­ered with knowl­edge, and where those who have fall­en vic­tim to scams are not shamed but sup­port­ed.

Our Edu­ca­tion and Aware­ness Cam­paign will uti­lize the fol­low­ing strate­gies:
  • Scam out­reach pre­sen­ta­tions to pub­lic social groups (Kiwa­nis, Rotary, Elks, etc.)
  • Sem­i­nar and con­fer­ence pre­sen­ta­tions
  • Senior com­mu­ni­ty cen­ter pre­sen­ta­tions
  • Col­lege and uni­ver­si­ty out­reach

At Stamp Out Scams, we believe in the pow­er of knowl­edge as the first line of defense against scam­ming prac­tices. Our Out­reach Pro­gram has been designed to equip peo­ple with the crit­i­cal infor­ma­tion they need to stay safe in today’s increas­ing­ly inter­con­nect­ed world.
In the above video, you can get an in-depth look at how we’re spread­ing our mis­sion of scam pre­ven­tion. Our Out­reach Pro­gram is a com­pre­hen­sive ini­tia­tive that includes inter­ac­tive work­shops, webi­na­rs, and infor­ma­tion ses­sions deliv­ered by our ded­i­cat­ed team of experts. These pro­grams are designed to raise aware­ness about var­i­ous types of scams, such as email phish­ing, lot­tery fraud, iden­ti­ty theft, and online shop­ping scams, among oth­ers.
But we don’t stop at rais­ing aware­ness. Stamp Out Scams also pro­vides resources and assis­tance to those who have fall­en vic­tim to scams. Our helpline and resource library are here to pro­vide you with imme­di­ate assis­tance, and our part­ner­ships with law enforce­ment and finan­cial insti­tu­tions ensure you get the best pos­si­ble help to recov­er.

At Stamp Out Scams, our mis­sion is to help those impact­ed by scams to recov­er and rise above their expe­ri­ences. Through advo­ca­cy, edu­ca­tion, and resources, we aim to put an end to the dev­as­tat­ing impact of scams on inno­cent lives. We want to empow­er indi­vid­u­als with the knowl­edge and tools to pro­tect them­selves and their loved ones against scams.
Beyond cre­at­ing aware­ness, we pro­vide a sup­port­ive plat­form for scam vic­tims to share their expe­ri­ences with­out judg­ment, con­tribut­ing to the fight against scams through their sto­ries. We offer exten­sive resources and per­son­al­ized sup­port for scam recov­ery, rec­og­niz­ing that every indi­vid­u­al’s expe­ri­ence with scams is unique.  The last thing a scam vic­tim needs is “vic­tim blam­ing.”  Most scam vic­tims have like­ly endured enough “vic­tim blam­ing” after their very own vic­tim­iza­tion was exposed.
Stamp Out Scams is here for vic­tims. We believe that togeth­er, through shared expe­ri­ences and col­lec­tive action, we can build a world that’s free from scams, where every indi­vid­ual feels safe, secure, and empow­ered.
It is hard to under­es­ti­mate the dam­age done by scam­mers to their vic­tims.  Scam vic­tims suf­fer both an emo­tion­al loss and dev­as­tat­ing finan­cial loss­es.  The time is now to help put an end to scams and scam­mers.

We include these pho­to gal­leries to serve as a stark reminder that these vic­tims look like your friend, your fam­i­ly mem­ber or just about any­one you might meet in pub­lic.   Remem­ber that if a scam can hap­pen to them, it can hap­pen to any­one.  Scam vic­tims don’t all look or sound the same.  They come in all dif­fer­ent shapes, sizes, eth­nic­i­ties, etc.
When it comes to becom­ing a vic­tim of a scam, it could hap­pen to any­one!  Scam­mers and scams do not rec­og­nize bound­aries and are only dri­ven by a poten­tial finan­cial reward.
